Private lessons are available with highly trained enthusiastic teachers using course materials suitable to the age of the student. Whitby School of Music teachers receive an extensive training program, enabling them to relate to the age of the student and help them achieve their goals. Lessons are generally a half hour in duration, once each week and involve playing the instrument as well as instruction in theory. Lessons are also available in a semi-private setting for piano, guitar and violin for students similar in age.. Whitby School of Music offers students to participate in Royal Conservatory of Music examinations and also offers independent assessments. Performance opportunities are made available to the students through school-sponsored recitals and competitions as well as local music festivals. A daily practice regime at home will help the student to progress and achieve success.
